01Information you provide
- Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, sign-in details, education preferences, and profile choices. Apple or Google sign-in can provide account identifiers and basic profile information.
- Learning material you submit: topics, pasted notes, photos, documents, voice recordings, AI prompts, and content you save. Camera, microphone, and file access are used when you choose the relevant feature.
- Learning activity, including courses, lesson progress, notes, quiz responses, achievements, classroom memberships, exam answers, and results.
- Support messages and attachments you send us. Please do not include passwords, verification codes, or unnecessary sensitive information.
02How information is used
Information is used to create and secure accounts, deliver and save learning content, generate AI responses, run classrooms and exams, mark answers, show progress, manage subscription access, and respond to support requests.
Operational records also help investigate errors, prevent misuse, and maintain the service. Account, security, classroom, and administrative actions may be recorded for these purposes.
03AI and uploaded material
When you request an AI feature, the relevant prompt and learning context are sent to service providers for processing. Depending on the feature, this can include text extracted from an uploaded image, document, or recording, and material used to create lesson audio or cover images.
The service integrates DeepSeek and Google Gemini for text and media processing, and Cloudflare services for generated images and file storage. Avoid submitting confidential information or personal information about someone else without permission. AI responses can be inaccurate and need your review.
04Diagnostics and optional analytics
We use account, sign-in, learning, and subscription records to measure service usage. Optional feature analytics follows your Usage analytics setting on web and mobile.
Crash reporting through Sentry can include error details, technical device and app information, and diagnostic context. The app is configured with default personal-information collection disabled; this does not mean error reports contain no personal information.
On supported mobile devices, Microsoft Clarity usage analytics and session capture are enabled only after a signed-in user turns on Usage analytics in Settings. You can withdraw that choice in Settings. Signing out pauses capture. Advertising storage consent is denied in the app.
The web app uses cookies or similar browser storage to maintain sign-in and remember preferences such as your theme. Hosting and service providers may process technical request logs. The Joblify Connect website is also covered by its own website privacy policy.
06Subscriptions and purchases
Purchases are processed through the relevant app store. Sagastein and RevenueCat receive identifiers, purchase events, entitlement status, and subscription information needed to provide paid access. Manage billing details, cancellation, and refund requests through the store used for your purchase.
07Retention and deletion requests
Saved learning content and account records support ongoing use of the service. The retention schedule for account data, uploads, exam records, diagnostic events, and backups is being confirmed for the final policy.
To request access, correction, or deletion, contact support using your account email address and describe your request. We may need to verify that you own the account. Account suspension or archiving is not the same as deletion, and some records may be subject to legal or school requirements. No automatic deletion deadline is promised in this draft.
08Your controls
- Review your account details and course visibility choices before sharing content.
- Turn optional Usage analytics on or off in the mobile app’s Settings.
- Manage camera, microphone, photo, notification, and other device permissions in your device settings. Declining a permission can prevent the related feature from working.
- Contact support about your information or applicable privacy rights. Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may request access to or correction of your information and object to processing in applicable circumstances. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Visit inforegulator.org.za for its current complaint process; additional rights may apply where you live.
09Young learners
The minimum age and any parent, guardian, or school-authorisation requirements are being confirmed for the final policy. A classroom invitation does not by itself establish that a child is eligible to create an account. Contact support before arranging use by children or if you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission.
